Kendra's room/Sphinx Common room: Kendra & Mr. Cook & OPEN Peter Cook had been very excited to see his daughter, but she theorized that he might have had ulterior motives in visiting his alma mater. She was acing all her classes, which wasn't surprising, and her room was just the right amount of chaos. He slipped his arm around her as they exited her room. "I'm so proud of you Nixie." He said, kissing her on the top of the head. "But please tell me you're not spending all your time with your head in the books."
He stopped her and put his hands on his arms as he faced her. Kendra looked up at her father and rolled her eyes. "Of course not papa."
"Don't roll your eyes at me." He said, brushing some of her hair from her face. "I worry about you. I know we moved a lot when you were growing up and making friends was hard. You're going to be here for four years. I don't want you to do it alone. I worry about you Nix."
Kendra couldn't be mad at him, he'd gotten a leave from work to be there for her and she knew he was right. But she did have friends. She found some of her people in Sphinx. "I do have friends. A few of them actually. We game and stuff-" His face got a familiar look to it. "And they're not online friends... I swear." Kendra glanced around and saw someone walking by. "Hey." She gave a small wave, thankful the timing was that she did actually know someone in the room. "I'd like you to meet my dad." Which was probably the first time she'd said that to someone she actually considered a friend.
