Academy Halls: Mike, Mrs. Karasik, and Sasha
Like the rest of the students who didn't have parents attending the conference, Sasha had been drafted in to help make sure the day ran smoothly. Mostly he'd been helping to usher people around campus or dispensing information, which was written on an A4 piece of paper tucked into his pocket.
He'd never been around so many families before. Sometimes there were parents in the arcade he'd frequented back in Anaheim, but the clientele were mostly kids like himself or college-aged dudes who couldn't play for shit. It was a little strange, and served as a stark reminder of how different his life was compared to the average St Margaret's student. Even Nick had someone coming along to speak with his teachers.
Sasha had been idling in the halls for a while when Mike spotted him. Of course at the point the boy had called him over, the half-demon was in the middle of a conversation with another student's parent, but he was happy to drop it completely in favour of Mike. Sasha bounded over to the other boy with a smile. "Hi!"
For a moment it didn't occur to him that Mike would be there with his parents. He glanced to the woman closest to Mike, rather surprised at how little she resembled him...or rather, how little he resembled her. Sasha had met a lot of parents that day but most of his closest friends didn't really have a parent or guardian, so this was the first time he'd been introduced to one of them properly. Mr Hartley didn't count.
He opened his mouth to speak only to be pulled into a hug. Sasha froze; he'd had never hugged anyone he knew at St Margaret's except for people he'd slept with, so this was a little weird. Affection was a rare treat that the half-demon acquired slyly either in the lead up to or in the wake of sex, and yet a woman he'd only just met had pulled him into her arms and was now cushioning his ribcage with her ample breasts.
When she let go Sasha looked to his friend, then back to Mike's mother again. "You smell like soap and flowers."
