Academy Halls: Adrianna, Mr. & Mrs. Carter and Pavel, Yulia & Vasily & Annia Markov
Fidgety and nervous, Pavel waited for his family to show. He hadn't seen them since the summer- having been sick through the holidays- and while he'd spoken to them on the phone, he was both eager and anxious for them to arrive. He hadn't discussed a lot about recent events in his life. They knew he was feeling better thanks to the new charm he'd gotten and that he'd broken up with his boyfriend, but that was about it.
As the crowds started, he paranoidly pulled on his sleeves to make sure they were covering his gloves, the last thing he wanted was to have a female run into him on accident and make contact. "Pasha." Pavel turned his head to the blue eyed brunette who called his diminutive. She approached him and slipped her arms around the young Fae, giving him a gentle kiss on the cheek. There was a split second Pavel almost pulled away from her affection. With the crowd he didn't want anyone judging that he was making contact with a girl- despite that his touch had never affected any of his family.
He didn't have much time to think because right behind his sister walked up two other Fae. His aunt brushed her hand over his hair and pulled him close. "Pasha." She said, speaking to him in Russian. "We missed you so much. When the school called we thought we might lose you. You Uncle Jackson was no-"
Pavel's uncle placed a hand on his wife's shoulder. "We are glad you're healthy." He said, not wanting to speak ill off the other Gancanagh in the family, even if he had been no help. His uncle transitioned into English, with much less of an accent than the young Ukrainians. "And please Annia, English."
The young Fae gave his uncle a small hug as he nodded into the crowd. "You want we should go in now?" Yulia placed an arm around him and nodded. Taking only a few steps Pavel's eyes caught sight of Adri and he froze for a moment.
His sister followed his eyes to the blonde and smiled. "Pasha, that is your friend, yes? Adri. The one who you went to dance with?" Pavel had told Yulia a lot about Adri, at least the things before the most recent. She knew they'd slept together at the dance, but when he'd come out at gay she'd supported him. Thankfully he'd only told this to his sister.
His Aunt's eyes lit up when she heard 'friend' and saw the direction the kids were looking. She clapped her hands slightly and sort of flitted over to Adri and her family. "Privet, ya Anniya, ya ponimayu, ty drug moyego plemyannika." She said, holding out a hand.
Coming up behind her Vasily shook his head. "English. Hello, I understand you're daughter is friends with our nephew." He said, addressing Adri's father. Behind the adults Pavel looked at Adri with an 'I'm so sorry' look.
