Classroom Hallways: Domino & Ms. Maddox & Open
Once families were admitted Domino was greeted by two small dark haired girls that basically pounced on him in greeting. Domino caught one and lifted her up while the other clung to his side. Their seqeal's of "DOMINO!" were loud and ear piercing. Dom, for his part just laughed and nuzzled his sister while hugging the other. "I missed you squirts." He said looking past them to his mother who almost looked like she was gonna cry. Putting his sister down, Domino walked over to his mother who quickly pulled him into her arms. "Mom, mom... Okay..." He relented when he realized he wasn't going to be let go until the cougar decided- his time at school had been the longest he'd ever been from her. He hugged her back. "I missed you too."
After his sisters were sent off with some students to be watched, Dom's mother clung to his arm while she questioned him about everything. From his grades to how he liked his dorm, to if he was eating enough and if he was making any friends. This persisted between classes, the only time she was quiet was when the teachers were talking. She did seem pretty disappointed that his grades weren't better. Sure he was passing, but he could be doing better.
"I will say Lekat, this place has not changed much since I attended. But I am disappointed in you," Alice Maddox fussed with his hair as she spoke. "You're a good boy, a smart boy. You can be doing so much better."
Domino swatted at her hand slightly. "Mom, I'm going failing. I'm going to move on this year... I like it here, I'm learning a lot."
She shook her head. "Domino, you need to apply yourself more, and not let yourself get distracted by the girls." She was the one person in the world that could embarrass the cat. He practically facepalmed as his mother did not seem to care that they were in public and she was talking about him being distracted by girls. "Or the boys." She brushed her hand over his shirt, giving him a look that almost seemed to say she didn't need a reply.
Domino glanced around the hallway, hoping to god no one heard her. "Mom... Can we not talk about this in a crowded hall?" He asked through gritted teeth. As shameless as the boy normally was, there was some line when your mother advertises to the hallway that she believes her son is distracted by anyone. He supposed that's what parents were for.
