History Classroom: Paxton and Rafe
A number of students and parents had filtered in and out of Rafe's classroom. Some were more amiable than others. Paxton had come to Rafe's classroom for the purpoe of discussing Davian, who was passing with a B now, much to Rafe's pleasure. On tests he still performed somewhat dismally, but the content he had more time with looked better. It had Rafe believing that the sloth demon simply needed more time overall.
He had finished talking with Paxton about Davian, but while he was there, Rafe did wish to speak to Paxton about another student of his. A student whom Rafe felt especially protective. Paxton was also his last visitor of the day, and thankfully, some of the other discussions had been blissfully shorter than others, so it afforded them some time before the luncheon.
"I suppose James informed you that I would want to talk to you about him," Rafe said, after asking Paxton if he could discuss another matter with him. In the time he had known Paxton, he knew him to be an upstanding student. He could dance around the subject but Rafe felt that candor was much better now, and he trust that James had give Paxton ample warning that Rafe wanted to speak with him.
