Josephine listened to Felicity's desire, her best case scenario, and her heart was full. The poor child. Her and her lover had been premature, yes, but they were sworn to one another. Surely it could be worse. Surely if Galad had impregnated another girl, or if Felicity had been impregnated by someone who wasn't Galad, it would be worse. The fact that they were together, in an arranged marriage, was incredible on its own.
"Darling." Josephine reached across to clasp hands with Felicity. "It will be alright. I promise you." She smiled with an assurance of someone who knew. Who knew she was saying the truth. "And I'll be here for you every minute. Any time you need me. I will be here. While I can't decide the reaction of your parents, I can promise my own services. Children are such a blessing. You will not be alone, understand? I am in your corner, and any other staff member here would gladly step into harms way to protect you and the child."
