By the Lake: Kendra & Open
She finally got in line and waited in her yellow bikini, waiting for her turn. She'd been informed her count was off and she actually had five jumps. Kendra approached the jump point and tried to focus. She pictured herself jumping and staying human... staying visible... she would not become like the water. She would- "Oh would you go already?" A voice hollered behind her that pulled Kendra from her focus. The half-nymph lost her balance and fell into the water.
Almost the moment she hit the water, she felt the cold wash over, her but it didn't feel really cold to her- it felt like water. It took her a brief moment to catch her breath from the mild scare she'd had- not needing to surface to breath. Then she swam the small bit to the shore and walked out.
There were a few people around her staring at her, some seemed relieved others like they were about ready to freak out and call one of the teachers over. Self consciously Kendra put her arm around her bare midsection as she padded back into the line.
What the Half-Oceanid didn't fully realize was she didn't keep her form. The moment she was startled and submerged under the water she'd completely blended in with the cold waters. Her brief moment breather, followed by the short swim to the shore... It was long enough that anything living (or not water) would have had to come up for air. That coupled with her 'vanishing' threw a few people for a loop. And now some of those people were staring.
