Thread: Negotiations
WHO: Ashton Hartley [Closed]
WHEN: 10/24
WHERE: The office of the Headmistress
NPCs: Ms. Menides
The dungeons? He was expected to only transform to his true form while in the dungeons? Ashton had had his pride stripped from him already when the dragonslayer, whose ancestor had killed both of his parents, had taken all of his gold and sent him here, like some pet on a leash he could order around. But hiding in the dungeons to stretch his wings was pushing it too far.
The trip from Kirkjubæjarklaustur, Iceland to St. Margaret's Academy for the Gifted in Maine was a long and tense one and Blake the Slayer had left him there once he was certain Ms. Menides knew all there was to know about the young dragon. In fact, the experience Ashton had after looking the Headmistress in the eyes had been enough for the proud beast to bow his head, cowed and respectful in her presence for fear of what he had seen if he were to misbehave. The rules of the school were laid out in no uncertain terms, Ashton had been sorted to a House where he would be living - along with a group of other like individuals, he was told - and Blake Hartley, the Dragonslayer, had clapped Celebrimbor Helyanwë the dragon, his pseudo ward, on the shoulder and insisted that he write regularly and call if he needed anything.
Ashton had watched the human walk away, surely to return to the mountains of stolen gold, with such animosity stirring in his blood that his eyes had turned over to silver and he had to be reminded, once again, of the rules.
But a dungeon... It was insulting.
So he was there, outside the offices of Ms. Menides, awaiting audience with her to attempt to negotiate the terms. She had to be reasonable. How was he expected to stretch his wings in a place like that? His true form was built for flying and he intended on doing so. She had to understand. Although it chafed the shambles of his pride, Ashton was ready to plead his case.
