Being born from the laughter of innocent children echoing up the hills, Lucia's senses, and even her own behavior, was finely tuned to that of the children. And she was sure, more than sure, what she saw budding in Felicity's body. It excited her so much that she didn't mind the swatting, though she gracefully avoided it by circling Felicity's arm and ducking under again to nuzzle her belly.
"It's strong. So strong. And beautiful!" Her tiny voice was like a squeak and her words were said in a sing-song fashion. She kissed Felicity's belly.
Then, shooting up to have a look around, Lucia let out a trill of bells. "Protect it. Keep it safe. I will help. No one will hurt the little one."
