The nights were always a bad time for Harmony but now, in a new place with different faces and with something else in his head that he couldn't put his finger on, the nights were even worse. He catnapped as much as he could do during the day in a bid to be able to stay awake at night and not drop from exhaustion in the morning, but he couldn't sustain that for very long. He had dark circles under his eyes which burned from lack of rest, his skin pale and chilled in that perma-cold that comes when you don't sleep properly and his head muzzy from his fatigued brain. He'd fallen asleep sprawled on his bed with his arm still on the book he'd been studying, shifting as he slept to curl up like a little 'c', his hands coming up like he needed the protection.
He slept peacefully at first, his body and mind too exhausted for any kind of shenannigans, but after a couple of hours and everyone else was in bed the moving started. His fingers twitched fretfully and he frowned, shaking his head just a little like someone was tickling at his face. This escalated to whimpering and kicking a little like he was trying to keep someone off him. He sat up suddenly, his hair a mess that had to be irritating but remained tousled, his sleeping mind not registering it as an issue. He stood up from his seat on the bed and started to pace, first alongside the edge of his bed and then further, pacing through the dorm room and out into the corridor and back again. He moved silently, just the faintest whisper of his clothes now and again, but the whimpering became mumbling became something that was ocassionally a bit louder.
He became more distressed, his breathing came shorter and sharper until he was nearly hyperventilating and it was after he backed into the wall in the corridor that he started screaming, still fast asleep.
