"Why are you moving away from me?" Sasha asked, talking a couple of steps forward to limit the distance between himself and Mike. "We're just talking, and we haven't even finished watching the movie yet! You said you really wanted to watch it."
In the back of his mind, Sasha got the feeling that something was off. He and Mike were friends, but this didn't feel like a friendly situation. Mike didn't look very happy, and he had to wonder if it was something to do with the popcorn...or maybe the room temperature...or maybe...something else...
Slowly but surely, as Mike turned down his offer of sexual services yet again, the full weight of what he'd said hit him and he took two steps back. There were plenty of boys at school Sasha found attractive, but rarely did he ever tell them this. Mike was cute in his own dorky and vulnerable way, but he was also straight; there was no point in professing his interest there. But Sasha had done it regardless, and it was very clear now that Mike was in no way flattered or even vaguely curious about any of his suggestions.
If anything, he seemed almost...scared?
"I'm sorry," the half demon chirped in a small voice as he fidgeted with his bracelets. "I didn't mean to say any of that. I...I don't know why I did. If you don't wanna be my friend anymore, it's okay." Retreating back to the couch, Sasha pulled one of his blankets over him and hugged his knees tight to his chest. "Please don't tell everyone..."
