Thread: Here Be Dragons WHO: Callidora Manikas and Ashton Hartley WHEN: Sometime after Calli's arrival at the Academy, during lunch WHERE: Headmistress Office
Ashton had somehow managed to remain in his seat after Ms. Menides left the room to go next door. The girl, the other dragon, she sat in front of him on her own chair, and he stared at her with an assortment of amazement, excitement, wonder, and no small amount of disbelief. All this time, all his life, for over one hundred years, he had yearned to meet someone like him, one of his kin, and now that she was here, that they were in the same room, sitting a few feet away, it was all he could do to stay still. His sadness and guilt and worry he'd been holding all week after hurting Trent and losing his fairy was set on the back burner and all of the black's focus was on the female before him.
Ms. Menides had introduced them, but Ashton had been too stunned to shake her hand the way that humans normally behaved when greeting someone, especially for the first time. And when the silence had extended, Ms. Menides had bid them to sit down and become acquainted so they would have, what she called, a mutual understanding. The look passed to Ashton from the Headmistress was received by the male dragon and he knew without needing to be told that he was forbidden from starting any trouble with Callidora.
He didn't even know what to say, where to begin, and so he just sat tensely in his chair, looking at the human form of another dragon for the first time in his life.
