Neculai glanced at Sasha, feeling a bit of a shift in the way he talked. More reserved. Normally Sasha had no problem speaking exactly what he was thinking. Shrugging it off, Nick nodded.
"I think so. I've never had good friends before, but this is probably what you'd call a good friendship. Like you and I." Nick smiled at Sasha and stretched his legs out onto the bench in front of them. He shifted his homework and flipped through the next page to check how many more math problems he had left to complete.
Brendan had sort of taken Nick under his wing, checking in on him, helping him through his anger, helping him find ways to have fun and let go. Nick smiled again when he thought about Galad's party and the way he and Brendan had danced. The summoned reflection of Sorin again found Brendan on the field and he leaned back to watch him play. The more he thought about it, the more he realized he did consider Brendan a good friend.
"The three-- er, Wendy too, I guess, the four of us should all get together some time. I don't know. Just to hang out. If you want?" Nick tapped his pencil on the notebook and gave a chuckle. "We could bake cookies or something."
