Chaos Fire: Aktamun & Galadari
Behind Aktamun, the ibis had grown larger, absorbing the fire of all of Aktamun's summon into itself. It had changed shape, too, more like an eagle that swung high in the sky. Slowly, the firebird rose above the fire, as if it had a life of its own.
Aktamun had spent his life around magic and had seen and felt many kinds of it. Galad, he thought, had his own kind of magic, the kind that made you want to agree with him. Galadari was charming.
"I think it's amazing," the boy said, without really thinking if that were true. "But I'm not the best to judge. Did you..." Aktamun shook his head, trying to gather his thoughts. Behind him, the eagly circled, wings roaring in purple and pink. "I should thank you? For the party?"
