Sasha & Open
The first thing that caught his attention was the fire. Sasha had always been fascinated by watching flames crackle their tinder and lick night air, but Galad's party fire was something special; the orange-yellow hues were replaced by an ever-changing showcase of every colour on the spectrum. The half-demon moved closer, entranced by the rainbow, until he could feel the heat on his face.
After watching the colours change for a little while he moved away, reaching up to brush his fingers against the hanging lanterns as he passed under them. Sasha had made more of an effort than the previous party he'd attended, eschewing his usual bright colours and cutesy accessories for something a little different. He couldn't really say what had influenced his decision, only that all of the other outfits he'd tried on didn't feel right.
Sasha wandered over to the trees where bottles had been strung up with little tea lights inside. Some people were taking photos for their Instagram feeds, but they mostly ignored him as they looked for the right filter.
The scene was so pretty that Sasha couldn't resist pushing a finger against one of the bottles to make it swing, but the heat of the glass burned and he brought his finger to his mouth as the flame inside the bottle flickered and jumped. Sucking the heat from his fingertip, the half demon glanced about. The people taking photographs were gone.
