"I didn't--" Galad looked angrily away again. Mr. Cavanaugh had him, and he knew it. He couldn't twist his way out of this one, even if he played ignorant to the bragging about cheating and claimed he was with Van when that was going on. Mincing words and facts wasn't going to get him out of this. Jack had him and he knew it. And it was Gilderoi's fault.
Sighing, Galad pinched the bridge of his nose, working past the bitter taste of defeat. "Fine." Galad shook his head and folded his arms, bracing his feet. "I impersonated my brother to ruin his reputation." Looking back at Mr. Cavanaugh, Galad shrugged. "It was payback for his mockery. But it's not against the rules. It was between my brother and I. I'm not doing it anymore. He learned his lesson and I've moved on."
