After the speeches, later in the evening: Pavel and Valentin
For Valentin, this was a night of high emotions. The joy of sharing emotions about Sorin couple with the pain of missing him so much made him feel at odds with himself. It did not help that he felt responsible for the event, though thankfully, it seemed to go off without a hitch. Still, listening to other people's speeches, he felt himself getting close to tears a lot.
After everybody's kind words, he felt too self-conscious give a speech words about his own, so Valentin simple offered a few simply words of his own and a poem - Don't stand at my grave and weep - before thanking everyone for their presence. The vampire had his own special memories of Sorin - including one very particular one, but maybe it was nice to keep that one to himself. Keep it special.
Valentin turned around and saw who it was. Pavel. Well, that certainly did not help with the emotions. The downside of being a perpetually sixteen vampire was the perpetual onslaught of hormones. For fuck's sake. "Hi,um. Weird? It's a weird night. But good. I... So, you and Sorin, you were friends too, right? It's... Yeah, I know, he tried - with the talking." Valentin coughed. "Sorry. Weird night."
