Thread: Vigil WHO: Valentin Graff & OPEN WHEN: Saturday evening WHERE: The cave by the Pegasus dormitory
Outside, the sun was still shining, but Valentin had lit candles from the opening of the cave, leading into the large cavern where Pegasus sometimes held their functions. After Rob had used his earthcraft-powers to smooth out the surfaces and create convenient ridges and plateaus, it really was a perfect place for initiations, parties and larger get-together. And now, goodbyes.
Valentin's eyes went around the cave, which was speckled with little flames. They had pulled this together quite admirably. There were refreshments, including the ones Galadari had arranged for, which, Valentin had to reluctantly agree, was a nice touch. Alex had helped with the music: soft, quiet rock and folk, nothing too depressing. They had even bought extra candles for the people who might have forgotten one.
At eight thirty, they would all light their candles together for Sorin. And then, there was an opportunity for friends to say a few words - there was a microphone - and, afterwards, people could mingle and simply remember Sorin. Valentin had no idea if this would evolve into a full-blown party, given the somber occasion, but the option was there. This would, at the very least, be an evening that was more sweet than bitter.
