Totally missed the notif!
"Sound lovely." It sounded horrible. A small town where everyone knew everyone? It sounded just as bad as the commune. And if everyone was a positive and spunky at her new 'friend'... the thought sent shivers down her spine. "I know what it's like to come from a small community, though it sounds like yours was a bit more pleasant than mine. But my corner of London had it's own charm." Like angry commuters.
As they approached the diner Kerr nodded. "I'm going to have to remember that." Once they entered the establishment, they found a table and ordered. Kerr got a plain bowl of vanilla ice cream. Honestly she really didn't eat sweets a lot, this expedition had been more out of curiosity and a desire to have a look about town.
As Kat ordered Kerr sat sideways so she could lean against the wall of the booth and take a glance around the place. There were a handful of other customers, most unimpressive. But there was a couple a few booths over that were a bit unhappy. Kerr wasn't sure what they were talking about, but she could feel sadness, confusion and the smallest bit of anger coming off each of them. Oh, the night was starting to look up.
