"Just . . . don't let the guilt be the only reason you're doing it," Alex said, "Because if you fail, you'll take it harder than you should. Failure is a part of life but it shouldn't be the main reason you do anything." It was good to make mistakes, and he learned it was wise to fail. But thankfully it didn't sound like Fred was talking about "never failing again." She wanted to make up for what happened but he hoped she understood that failure was inevitable.
