"Hashtag rude," Alex said and raked his fingers through his hair, "As if I would ever cut this off." The thought never crossed his mind. Yeah, he'd really gotten into things at the monastery, but shaving his head was a step meant for those who were going to stay there and live their lives as monks. Alex enjoyed the monastery but seeing his friend before him, he realized he probably wouldn't enjoy living there long term. Plus, they didn't have pizza and what was life without pizza? Not worth it.
He leaned against the doorframe, "You gonna let me in? I mean, the longer this door is open, the more likely it is someone is gonna think you're gonna talk to them." Even if this was Hydra house, it was more likely they'd talk to each other over anyone else.
"You guys got a whole new slew of dickheads come in too," he added, glancing over his shoulder, "Anyway, how're you, Freddie? Have a good summer? I got something for ya." He fished into his pocket and pulled out a small box wrapped nicely. Inside was a charm of some kind he got from a monk. It was meant to be good luck or good vibes, and he figured Fred could probably use some. The last time they had a heart to heart, he learned about what happened to that girl she used to like.
