"I would imagine that a beauty like yours would defy gender," Gil said, the blatant lie slipping past his lips with a surprising ease. Gil had tried getting into the opposite gender, he really had, but unlike Galadari, he just couldn't get past some things. Everyone always annoyed him - save for one, very important example - but at least with boys, he had something he was attracted to. Girls were just that: annoying.
He chuckled. "So different, aren't you? So... above it all. Like other people's opinions can't touch you. Other people really just don't matter as much when you're around." Gilderoi blinked, realizing that what he just had said had not been a lie. While Felicity had ambition, she didn't let other people's opinions weigh her down.
Well, this was annoying.
He grinned that half-grin that both he and his brother did so well, and quickly changed gears: "Does it never bore you? Wouldn't you rather play with the rest?"
