Hallway: Valentin and Sasha and OPEN
Sasha chewed his lip as he dawdled in the corridor, trying to figure out what to do about his date situation. He'd found the rope - a nice, black cotton one that matched the outfit Kana had helped him put together - but there was no one to tie up with it. It was surprisingly difficult to find someone on their own who didn't wander away before he'd had a chance to get close enough; why hadn't Fred warned him about the logistics of this? He'd have started looking for someone so much earlier...
Of course, he always go on his own if he really had to; Wendy had suggested doing just that. But Wendy didn't really have to worry about not having a date since he wasn't going anyway, and if he had been he'd have been going with that girl who'd asked him. Just like Van was going with Caitlin. Just like Sara was going with that guy with the name that sounded like Terry but wasn't. Sasha wanted to go with a date too, but time was running out.
No, he could do this. All he had to do was find someone heading towards the ballroom and tie them up. Maybe beat them into submission a bit first, but as long as he avoided their face it would be fine.
Valentin hurried by as Sasha steeled himself for the task ahead, and it took a moment for the half demon to process the opportunity that had presented itself to him. The vampire wasn't his type and they hadn't gotten along that well so far...but he was alone. And preoccupied. And short.
Fuck it, this one would have to do.
He took off running, picking up speed as he rounded the corner, eyes locking onto his target as he ran straight for the vampire. Valentin had slowed down considerably, clearly not expecting any half demons to hurl their entire weight at him and send them both crashing to the floor. Sasha hoped that a surprise attack would stun the vampire a little, giving him time to at least secure the wrists before Tin realised what was happening to him. How else was he going to get around that whole vampire strength thing?
Picking himself up, Sasha pressed a knee into Valentin's back and pulled the rope from his pocket, knotting it around the vampire's wrist as fast as he could.
