Fountain: James and Gilderoi
James looked as out of place at the dance as a raincloud in the desert. He gave off a sense of despair and the other students dutifully avoided him. They were here to have fun. Gilderoi, however, was also having a lousy time and, as such, he had no problem approaching James.
Besides, the elf figured some sort of confrontation was in order.
Gil was dressed as a young, debonair baron, his hair slicked back and his face clean-shaven. His mask was silver and jagged, covering as little of his face as possible. That would be a crime, after all.
Gil intercepted James with a cheerful smile, hoping to elicit something similar on the face of his (former?) friend. "James," he purred, putting an arm around the vampire, "what lucky person has snatched your mask?"
