Contemplative Moment
Who: Kana and Open
Where: Duke's Diner
When: Wednesday afternoon
Warning: Probably none
Kana hadn't really been in the mood to be in her dorms lately. Most of the people in her dorms were still alright with her. Most of the standards were just needing a bit of reassurance that they were likely not going to suddenly forget everything they learned all year the day before their exams; of course, the older students running around threatening them with an amnesia potion in order to get them to basically be their servants was not helpful.
Her main problem however was the fact that she still felt bothered by Davian's words. She didn't know why it made her feel bad that he thought of her so horribly despite all her attempts to be helpful to him. He actually thought that none of her offers were real, and he considered them friends apparently until recently. It frustrated her that someone who thought themselves her friend would treat her as horribly as he had treated her. He and Alex both just confused the hell out of her.
She wore a minidress that her mother had given her while she had been in town, and though she was receiving a fair amount of attention from a few guys in the diner she was completely unaware of it. Her mind felt as though it wasn't working right. Her pencil had moved about the page sketching the beginnings of thoughts, yet she would get frustrated and turn the page after only a few minutes of work.
After the sixth attempt to get started on a dress idea she pushed the sketchbook away with a soft groan of annoyance and pulled her fries back to her. They were getting cold, but they weren't too bad. Besides, she needed a bit of a break. Maybe she would just go see what was at the store and try to modify something. Why couldn't she just forget those two boys. They were always doing something stupid and they had tendency to get annoyed with her, and in Davian's case make fun of her. Why did it seem worse this time? Maybe she needed to talk to Sorin. He might still have some of that stuff Barclay had given her years ago. That wouldn't be a perfect fix, but at least she wouldn't care about it so much if she could shut off her feelings.
She pulled her phone out and was about to text when she noticed someone came to stand near her.
