Ambriel and Davian: Come Together
Again, Ambriel suppressed the urge to immediately say 'no'. Instead, he pursed his lips, considering that for a moment before answering: "Maybe."
Ambriel instinctively took a step forward, reaching out to cup Davian's cheek. "But... It's the same with pants? I always believed that any woman who wore pants was doing something wrong. But that would meant people like Kana and Jae are inherently sinful and wrong. Or even Ms. Hallowfen. But I know them. If they are wrong, then perhaps there is something wrong with what I consider wrong."
He sighed, unsure if he was saying it right. It was far easier to talk about believes when they were unshakable. "If people who do everything right according to the word of the Lord can still commit atrocious acts and if grace can still be found in people who commit sin after sin, then maybe I shouldn't just say things are wrong when I don't know what I'm talking about."
He gestured at the rest of the party going on around them. "All these people are drinking, and most of them are not evil. You used to drink, but you are not evil. So maybe I was just..." Ambriel swallowed that last word, because it was the hardest to say. Afraid.
