"I am large enough," Ryu said, "My full length will not be achieved for at least a hundred years. But I have reached an age where my body has changed." Little things. The length of her horns and the way her scales looked. She then added, "Ashton is a fat dragon." It was sad rather bluntly, but it was that he was a different type of dragon and fat was the best descriptor for him. Her body was shaped more like a snakes, and his more like the traditional western dragon. Same genus but different species within it.
Alicia suggested clubs. "I like chess." She did. It was a game of strategy and the last time that Ashton visited, they played. He defeated her but she was learning more about the game. A dragon's natural intellect gave her the advantage of being a fast learner. She had to learn more about strategy. But to the suggestion she join a club, "I will ask Blake. I do not think he knows it is an option." Or maybe he did had didn't think that Ryu was ready.
Her face grew pensive at that. Many times, she discovered, she had to present an argument to him as to why she wanted certain things. Like a sweet sixteen and a sleepover and an extra helping of dessert.
"The human misused the heart he was given," Ryu commented, "And the reasons for hunting dragons was flimsy."
