Ashamed. That's how Jae felt. Ashamed that she thought she was better but there was a chance she wasn't and she was hurting people and she couldn't stop herself. The dungeon wasn't dank or anything, but there was a sense of isolation there. The computer, from the last time she was there, went ignored again. She couldn't face her friends and the questions and the shame that she felt. Jack and Dr. Hallowfen had talked to her about specific people who inquired. Davian. Vixey. Two people she trusted and one didn't even know what she was.
She exhaled softly and said, "I'm alright, thank you. I just don't want to hurt anyone." It was one thing to knowingly attack someone, but another for it to happen without knowledge or intention. She set the bottle aside and tried to put on a smile, "Thank you for asking, Ms. Pearl." Jae avoided eye contact with Mr. Hartley, but it wasn't like he was looking for it either. She was here for observation, but also for the safety of others.
Jae rose to her feet and took a couple more steps before she felt it again. "It's—" she started and stopped, her legs shaking, "—I think—" but she never finished the thought. This is where she got scared. Before the fear hadn't been there but now she had reason to fear.
The world around her wasn't spinning but gradually turning black. Jae stumbled forward and landed on her hands and knees. It was happening so quickly, and she was trying to fight it but it was like something else had taken over. Like she wasn't in control. For a person like Jae, that was nothing short of a nightmare. Her body slumped to the floor, unconscious.
