"Hmm?" Victoria asked and then contemplated how to answer as she started for the mall. Her heels making only a soft sound on the pavement as she walked. She started wearing heels when she was twelve and by now had mastered how to walk in them and make it look as natural as if she were wearing sneakers. She shrugged, 'It's what they call senioritis. I am ready to go but I still have some time left." That was the truth, but there was more to it than that.
Victoria was ready to make St. Margaret's a memory. Something she'd think of later in life when she would see people she knew or someone who would remind her of someone there. Some people she was determined to forget and leave as faded figures in the background. James for starters, Bayani for another, and Sorin was there too. At some point she though that she could create a friendship with Sorin. She'd tried but he repaid her with selfishness.
"You know something is coming to an end, and then you see where else you can go. Suddenly you're ready to go," she added for good measure.
