Biding time. Romina was making arrangements for Italy and Victoria was starting to feel what she heard other students call senioritis hitting her. She wasn't shirting in her responsibilities toward her house, but she certainly struggled some days to give a damn. She could sort of imagine how Leon felt as she was in school longer than she was there. He'd been there an extra year, and in truth, she was in school longer than she should've been. But soon this would be in her past, and what friendships mattered most she would take with her. Others she would allow time and distance to decay. Many, she knew she would never cross paths with again, and for some she was looking forward to that.
Until then she wanted to take more excursions out, and Fred was kind enough to offer her the ride out of town. "The mall," Victoria said, "It's ridiculous to say, but shopping helps clear my thoughts. You don't have to go with me if you don't want." Fred never seemed like the sort of girl to go shopping for anything, and Victoria liked it. She liked the fashions and to see what was new. Not as much as she liked going out dancing, but there weren't dance clubs open during the day. At least not ones worth going to.
