Wendy & Sasha & Open
Wendy grunted in response. You should have tried some. There was a whole group of verbs that Wendy did not like. Must, should, would, might. They were words that tried to shape reality. Words that ordained, or lamented lost opportunities, or words that suggested something might happen. Or not. They were words that tried to trick. They would be useful, if Wendy got the hang of them.
"What is galbi?" Wendy asked gravelly. If it sounded good, then next time, he would think twice before passing up on it.
"I am a Wendigo," he responded, not ashamed of it. He had shared with many people with what he was, but Sasha could be forgiven for not knowing it. People, Wendy was beginning to realize, were not always as clever as they thought they were. "Why is it a secret? What are you hiding?"
