Dana's eyebrows raised and she looked at the cup and back at him. Would it work on her? Nymphs didn't have the same physiology as humans (and in turn vampires). Potions could work alright, but would caffeine? It smelled pleasant, and she took a sip, but expected no results. She listened as intently as she could as Valentin explained what South Park was and how the singer played into it.
"It is winter," Dana said at Valentin's question, "I . . . I am often like this in winter. When spring comes, I will be fine." She reached out and touched his arm, assuring him this was true. Some people weren't familiar with Dana in the winter, and Valentin appeared to be one of them. Truthfully, they'd only spoken occasionally before he departed and then when he returned. So she understood how he didn't know.
