With most people she had shut out. She really didn't speak to much of anyone outside of snark and sarcasm lately. Alex was the first person she had even considered confiding in, and the reason for that was the fact that she knew he was reliable to keep her secrets. He had already proven that.
"She..." Fred's words were coming harder now, and the memory still being so fresh in her mind was causing her to lose her ability to speak. She looked at him hoping that he wouldn't be upset for her doing this. She stared into his eyes, her eyes flashing yellow as she did so. So long as he didn't look away at that moment he would see what she saw. She would be able to speak through the illusion as well without having to be concerned with her voice choking up again.
The scene would change into the spot in California where Caitlin and she had lived with their sire. It wasn't much. His power had allowed him to get the place for practically nothing, but since it wore off after a while he couldn't do anything that would have been too obvious. "This might be easier," she said, appearing in front of Alex, "If you're alright with it."
