"He's blending in as much as he can," Cressida added, "though his social skills are . . . going to eventually come in time. There's likely much we don't see. Students have learned to use filters." She'd seen how Wendelin had interacted with some students. Some questions seemed purposely posed in order for Wendelin to contradict, and others he phrased in a manner some students weren't interested in replying. But he hadn't attacked anyone, so maybe he was taking greater strides than he could have been.
She laughed softly, "Therese can be tough, but I think Wendelin would've eaten her alive. Figuratively, of course. Wendelin could use a firm hand, and Blake appears to be the one to do it. Though I wonder how those two are getting along in the same space. Both are rather territorial, aren't they?"
