Jack wasn't one to receive the cool and icy gave from Cressida. She was not a vampire or some physically powerful being, but she was a witch and a powerful one at that. And she was also the Head of Hydra. "Pressing the issue would only confirm his assumption concerning my impatience, Jack. I will meet and speak with Wendelin when it's time." Cressida would need to speak with Blake again, but she also wasn't going to give him evidence to prove him assumptions about her correct. She would sit and wait, but eventually it would be clear if Blake was being obstinate in purposely keeping Wendelin from speaking with her.
"In a way, Ashton is," Cressida said, warming a bit, "Though the history will likely create some familial friction that I hope wouldn't lead to fratricide." Ashton would always be a dragon and proud of what he was. He made great strides but was susceptible to setbacks when someone insulted his pride or provoked his temper.
"He's trapped in the form of a human, the very thing he enjoyed hunting before. It'll take time, though I'm sure it'll include a good deal of humbling in the process. He doesn't quite realize that yet."
