Thread: Yule Burning Bright WHO: Felicity Bainbridge and Galadari Rubinhart WHEN: Dec. 24, a bit after this WHERE: Birch Grove near Rubinhart estate, Norway
It took some work, but Felicity managed to draw herself away from the Rubinhart matriarch. Felicity never had an attentive mother before, and so it was her first experience with one. Granted it wasn't a perfect situation but it was strange having a mother want to talk to her beyond checking in or a comment here and there when her father needed a second vote. Felicity had few memories of her mother in any sort of affectionate manner. If anything, she always came off as cold and distant. She performed her duty bringing Felicity into the world and once Felicity was out of the womb, her job was done for another few years until it was time for another.
Felicity had slipped on a jacket and then disappeared into the woods. The Rubinharts had a vast estate with plenty of forest. It made for good hunting, and the sort of terrain is probably what gave the twins an edge on Felicity in the Wild Hunt. This was much closer to what the Black Forest was like. Sure, there were noticeable differences, but it wasn't the same quiet calm of the English woods. She moved through the forest easily though, her feet quiet over the snow. She wore a pair of black leggings with a white cable sweater beneath her jacket. She looked normal for the most part, save the fact she let her glamours slip away. Pale blue skin, a shock of white hair, and eyes completely black. Strangely enough, dropping the glamours made her feet more in tune with the forest.
When she arrived at the appointed grove, there was already a fire started but the yule log itself had yet to be placed. Felicity observed the set up. Some pillows and things to make a soft surface to sit on, blankets, and so on. It was almost . . . romantic.
"Galad?" she asked, not yet spotting him amidst the set up. Felicity removed her hat and ran her fingers through her white hair a few times before searching the environment for where he might approach.
