Who: Kristen and Haylie
What: *gasp* a DATE
Where: Starting on grounds, going into town
When: Towards the end of break. Let's say a Friday
Rating: PG/PG-13
Christmas break had been especially hard for Kristen. Not because of longing to go home or anything like that. It was the anticipation of what was going to happen towards the end. Haylie was returning and before the end of break, they were to have their date. In hindsight, waiting for the day to come was even harder than working up the courage to ask Haylie out in the first place....which said alot.
Christmas came and went and Kristen did her best to enjoy break and she did. Though she spent most the time working things out in her head, so she wouldn't seem like a spaz on their date. She had picked out a cute dress to wear. Her hair, rather than in it's usual pigtails was instead worn down and she had curled it.
Despite being a vampire for a few years now, she still hadn't found a good way to prepare herself without having a reflection in the mirror. One of the other girls in Sphinx had been kind enough to help her with her make-up. She used a foundation every so slightly more colorful than her normal complexion. She didn't want to look too obviously made up but her complexion had always been pale as a redhead and then being dead only added to it. The foundation also had glitter in it, which she thought was cute and wintery(and completely overlooked the possible Twilight jokes that could be made. She also used a slightly darker color for her lips and eye shadow as well. It was all very difficult to juggle. It was certainly more prep than what she did for her day to day life, but that was the point. She wanted Haylie to know she made the effort to look special for her. At the same time, she didn't want so much effort that Haylie would feel uncomfortable. She was pretty sure Haylie would be casual about the date and she was okay with that.
She pre-ordered the tickets to the movie and made reservations at the restaurant, which wasn't necessary since they were going for lunch but still. Haylie seemed to like it when she took charge, so she was trying to do that.
Once she was ready, she made her way down to meet Haylie. It was a couple minutes later than what they agreed to meet, which made her chuckled. The idea that girls were always fashionably late for dates, or made their dates wait was slightly true....just not on purpose. She looked at her phone noticing the text that the ride she had arranged for them was almost ready.
"Hi!" she greeted Haylie cheerfully but with a bit of blushing as she approached.
