Thread: Peppermint Reinforcement
WHO: Jack & Micah
WHEN: Friday, Dec. 23
WHERE: Headmaster's Office
Kaden wasn't worried about Jack fulfilling the role of Headmaster for a period of time. Not in the slightest. The banshee was capable and intuitive. He had the trust as well as the respect of the students and the staff. He had a grasp on the wonders of the Academy and knew many of its secrets that not all staff members were privy to.
So no, Kaden wasn't coming to check on him. Not exactly. He wanted to offer his support and his help, for sure. But that would come after a little bit of ribbing. Technically, Jack was their boss now. It was a situation Kaden wasn't going to not take advantage of. The tense situation of the wendigo coming into a human form and attending the same Academy it meant to destroy was on Kaden's mind, but a little friendly ribbing could help ease that feeling.
Micah's warm fuzzy sweater, a gift from his mother, was a hand knitted creation that most of Kaden's Ladons had deemed the 'Ugly Sweater' of the season. Micah radiated heat as a were and he'd put on some weight for the winter as the bear's instincts to store up for hibernation battled with his naturally high metabolism. Kaden had a winter belly on him.
He knocked on the door that would open to the main office chamber of the head of the Academy. The room still brought a sense of reverence to Kaden, who had been called there once or twice as a young witch. It was also where, as a teacher, his students had come to have very serious talks with Ms. Menides. So Kaden wasn't completely disruptive when he nudged the door open with his toe. In his hands, Kaden carried hot cocoa, still steaming, though the marshmallows had been mostly melted in the mix. Peppermint schnapps was already poured and stirred in.
"Too soon to buy your favor for a raise?" he teased when his eyes fell on Jack busy at the Headmaster's desk. "Thought you could use a drink."
