The Phantom of the Opera (musical and reception)
Who: Everyone that wants to come (BYOT) Where: Theater and Cafeteria When: Friday and Saturday Nights Ratings: I'd wager some may get high but who knows really?
The night had finally come. All of the bellowing and vocal coaching as well as the choreography practice would hopefully pay off. Families and friends were invited to come and watch the spectacle, so most of the seats in the theater were taken up. There was soft music playing, reflecting the music that would later be played in the production, as people entered and took their seats. Also the murmur of people talking to each other as they rekindled friendships or spoke of their children that would be in the musical.
Behind stage the students nervously prepared for the night; although, most of them simply seemed to be hoping that they wouldn't forget their lines. The sets were pretty well done for the fact that they were on a High School Budget, and the costumes were spectacular as always. Thérèse would be sad to lose the talents of Kana next year as she would be graduating at the end of this school year.
When the music halted momentarily and the lights went down, the murmur hushed as all eyes went to the stage and the prelude began.
After the production there would be a reception in the cafeteria with a variety of horderves. There were even some special requests for thoe who needed them, but in order to not cause the newer families to be alarmed those were done discretely and by request only.
The cafeteria was adorned in elegant decorations in order to assure the families that they were indeed getting what they paid for with this school, and there were chairs and tables around the edges to allow for the people who would rather sit as they talked and ate, and most everyone would be gone prior to the midnight hour.
