Ladon Party: Tin and Victoria
Victoria's eyes met Valentin's and she saw his sincerity. She shrugged, "It is what it is. This is my life now and what is that saying Americans are so fond of? When life gives you lemons, make limonada." She smiled softly at him though. It was nice to talk about it. So many students thought their life ended when they became whatever it is, but vampires literally had to die to come back. Some embraced the change. James always spoke of it as a gift, but Victoria now knew that James' mind was not quite sound.
She nodded, "It's good to talk about these things sometimes. Holding them in doesn't do much good. And it's especially good to tell it to someone who knows what it means to lose something." Maybe that's why she and James would've never worked out. James never felt he lost something as a vampire other than the ability to be in the sun. With Bayani? She shoved him out of her mind, else she think about that conversation with Sorin and how she wanted to tear the summoner's throat out.
"You feeling better?" she asked, "We can go back to the party if you want. Or we can stay here until it ends, if you would prefer."
