Victoria didn't talk too much about what she'd lost when she became a vampire. Leon knew from how deeply the two of them had spoken about the topic of loss, even though he quickly shut down when things began getting a little too close to things he still had yet to share with her. Her eyes drifted briefly as she thought how to answer. But Victoria didn't guard herself quite so much as Leon.
"Of what I used to have, all I could take with me was my dam, who was first my closest friend," she said, "I came from a very close family, Valentin. A family that was very religious. Becoming a vampire meant losing them, but also understanding that I lost another part of who I was. My faith. My soul. I think drinking blood was the least of my problems."
