Ladon Bonfire: Ambriel & Davian
Normally, this is where Ambriel would have jumped up, berating his boyfriend for... well, an assortment of things, really. The fact that he was yelling about their private time, for one. Cussing, for another. And then there was the fact that Davian was shouting at him while he had done nothing wrong. Well, at least according to Davian's standards.
But Ambriel just could not work up the outrage at that moment. What did it matter? He'd had outrage before. Anger. Because he thought it helped. But it hadn't, had it? He'd tried to do everything right, follow the way of the Lord as he saw it fit, and his family had still tried to murder the one thing he loved. So it didn't matter, did it?
None of it did, really.
Ambriel watched dispassionately as Davian made a spectacle of himself. He didn't want to get off the log, so he didn't. He shrugged. "Okay," he said. "You go do that."
