Ladon Party: Victoria and Nick
He was enjoying this. She could see it in his smile. The way he spoke. The fact that he wasn't just here to not apologize, but to try to make it sound like she was somehow a villain in all of this. That she forced him to either choose to be with her or stop being her friend entirely. Victoria seethed and she could see how Sorin enjoyed it. This was definitely not the Sorin that everyone adored so.
This was another wolf in sheep's clothing. Just like James, perhaps. She didn't know the depths of Sorin's depravity just yet, but this was an ugly side to him that she knew no one would believe was there. He, much like James, had crafted a face and reputation too well-loved for anything to stick.
"You know nothing," Victoria said, "You know nothing of what we spoke of or what we shared. You couldn't accept he chose someone that wasn't you. You have so many lovers, and yet you can't stand the thought that they could love someone more than you. If you aren't here to apologize, then get away from me." If he didn't leave, Victoria would go. She would then . . . she didn't know. Call Leon? Would he even believe her? Wasn't his sire in love with Sorin or something? She didn't know.
Victoria didn't give Sorin the chance to take his exit if he were going to get it. She was grabbing his hand on her waist, using her own strength to pray it away from her and putting the physical distance between them she wanted before she'd end up hurting him. Whatever he started to say, she didn't hear because she was now moving away from him and pushing into the crowd of people dancing. If Sorin knew what was good for him, he wouldn't follow, and more importantly, he'd keep his distance for the rest of the school year.
