Kitsune House (Paintball): Galad & Felicity
Galad took a moment to grin smugly at Felicity as she joined him. He knew he'd taken the honor of the first kill from her and that it would bother her. It was in his nature to rub it in a little. Before he could say a word, Felicity asked for a boost and kissed his cheek. Well then. That was okay, too.
Smiling for an altogether different reason now, Galad crouched beside her and set his gun aside. He laced his fingers together and offered them in a stirrup for her to step into. Down on one knee in front of her, Galad didn't miss the opportunity to get a good look at her from this angle. His words were all business, however.
"I'll distract him from the ground. Good luck, my betrothed."
As soon as she had stepped into his hands, Galad effortlessly boosted her up into the air, directing her towards one of the beams. He made sure she caught the landing, smiling to himself, before he went out into the maze, leaving his own gun behind. It would only slow him down. This last kill was hers, in all fairness.
Galad stepped into the open once more and, lifting his voice to be heard through the maze, began belting out the lines to an old Norse drinking song.
