Ladon Party: Victoria and Nick
Up until this point, Victoria had been enjoying the night. Since she started dancing, she had a couple of people come and go. It was fine though because she was moving to. Parties like this were fun because the alcohol was flowing and people were spending more time having fun and less time worrying about how they looked. It helped a lot of people were in costume, and somehow that gave them a sense of liberation, despite how covered they were.
But then Sorin just had to appear. Appear and smile and dance with her. He was entirely too confident, and the smile on her face was gone in an instant. While Sorin usually elicited smiles and broad greetings from others, Victoria was probably the only person he didn't have that affect on. Everyone loved Sorin. Everyone except for Victoria but she civilly didn't speak of him on her own or politely said nothing when he was brought up.
"Thank you," she said. She could easily break away from him, but Victoria wasn't drunk and knew there were a lot of people around that if she did shove him away, like she wanted to, it would create gossip. Instead she spoke lower to him, in a hiss, "What do you want?"
