Ladon Party: Victoria and Nick
Nick was reveling in the freedom of being out in the world again. He had Sorin's knowledge, his memories, and knew the best places to go on Halloween. The Ladon party was a must for anyone who wanted to abandon themselves and worship the night. He had made his way there, ditched Sorin's friends, and was dancing with new people.
Nick had already had two cups of punch and was feeling the liquor heat up his veins. Much like Sorin, Nick felt more amorous under the influence of alcohol, and anyone who danced with him got a kiss. What a perfect night. How dare Sorin deny him nights like this for so long. There would be many more in the future, Nick told himself, scanning for a new partner among the faces.
When he spotted Victoria, a dark smile spread on his lips. She was dancing with someone else and he approached, bypassing other willing partners to get to her. Sorin had wronged this girl, in a way. Deciding on his own feelings, his own happiness and desires over those of another person for probably one of the first times in his pathetic life, Sorin had kissed Victoria's boyfriend and it had ended their relationship. Nick knew this. He also knew that Victoria had not approached Sorin ever since that night, months ago.
Nick cut in, nudging the other partner away from Victoria with a smile. Nick couldn't let this opportunity pass. In the same way that Sorin was drawn to dangerous people, Nick was drawn to dangerous situations. He caught Victoria by the waist, trapping her against him. "You look stunning, Victoria."
