Open Thread: Infirmary Duty WHO: Felicity Bainbridge and OPEN WHEN: 27 Sept. 2016, afternoon WHERE: School Nurse's Office
Felicity wasn't in the infirmary every day, but she was there often enough she was becoming a familiar face to Mr. Pheres and others who volunteered. Her ability to heal came with a natural ability for healing magic that all elves seemed to have. She knew a number of spells and had the intuitiveness to adapt them to her needs. Most days in the infirmary were quiet, but sometimes, usually around the time of sports, a number would walk in for one reason or another.
She sat in a chair waiting. Mr. Pheres kept everything well-organized. Impressive, considering he was a centaur. Felicity never vocalized this surprise though. Many times she had to clamp her mouth shut. It was difficult to be around so many non-elves as it was, but also so many people who were from such . . . lower places. Gilderoi may like to play around in the muck, but Felicity preferred not to ruin a perfectly good manicure.
Mr. Pheres had stepped out for a moment, leaving Felicity alone briefly. By now he knew she wasn't the sort to start trouble. Felicity's sort of trouble usually led to her earning praise and not chastisement. She liked it that way. Working the rules to her favor and bending the ones supple enough to keep herself from sitting in detention. H
Her eyes lifted as someone entered the infirmary, and immediately she rose to her feet. She asked, "What happened? And where does it hurt?" The two most important questions. One gave her a place to start, and the other gave her an idea of what she might be dealing with.
