Mickey grinned again when Ashton accused him of stealing the ball. It seemed that Ashton lacked a certain understanding of key parts of the game, including the whole idea of sportsmanship. Then again, if he didn't want people to steal the boy, he at least got the most important aspect of the whole soccer thing.
While Mickey had no idea how strongly the other boy felt about him and his perceived attitude, he enjoyed watching Ashton work for it. He had thought the boy would've played it too cool for school, being all 'this soccer does not matter anyway'. But he hadn't, and Mickey respected that. He honestly wanted to learn.
"That's good," Mickey said, walking backwards as he saw Ashton advancing, this time with the ball. "Now, try and do it so that you do it fluidly. Don't stop when you make it go forward. Once you've done that, you can pass it over to me."
Mickey grinned. He actually liked training others. This was going to be a fun afternoon.
