Red. It wasn't a new nickname, but it often took a back burner since most people called her Jonesy. She even thought about opening her mouth and letting him know what he could call her, but given the circumstances, she thought it could wait. Besides, Red suited her just as well. She very nearly had the wherewithal to be indignant in regards to his 'accident' comment, but even that seemed to slip through the cracks of her mind. This was hardly the time to follow the rules and guidelines of social etiquette (not that Harper followed those rules normally). She watched him out of the corner of her eye to make sure that the blood wasn't gushing from his hand anymore. Oddly enough (to her at least), she didn't feel woozy at the sight of so much of the stuff.
Being lifted up into the air was not on a list of Harper's Most Wanted Things To Do and she shrieked something fierce as she kicked and flailed to get away. The sounds that escaped her lips were nothing short of unholy (especially considering every other one was a swear word) and she was sure that she had managed to kick Sparky, but really she was more terrified now than she had ever been in her life. She heard Sparky beneath her, trying to help bring her down and offer up suggestions on how to get out of the angel's grasp. She caught onto his words and breathed them in, suddenly balling up her fist and pointing it behind her. She exhaled and with the breath, a ball of fire shot from her hand and was directed directly into the angel's shoulder and wing. She heard him cry out and felt a brief moment of victory before she felt his arms vanish beneath hers.
The descent came along much faster than the trip into the sky and Harper continued to wave her arms and legs about fiercely, trying to slow herself from meeting the ground too quickly. It wasn't the ground that she crashed into, however. Thankfully, Sparky was directly beneath her and broke her fall. Along with her hip, she was sure.
"Ow," Harper groaned, pushing herself up onto her palms. She was sprawled over Sparky's stomach such that they made a weird 'x' or cross on the ground. "Thanks for the catch." She halfway joked, wincing. "You okay?"
