Before the Ceremony: Barclay & Sorin & Olivia
Sorin was nodding to confirm what Olivia was saying, that he'd told her about his apprenticeship with Barclay. He gave another self-conscious laugh, raking fingers through his hair when Barclay adjusted the description to be that he wouldn't leave. It was true, Sorin had somewhat insistently and diligently stood by Barclay's side, despite his mood swings and sometimes caustic methods of conversing.
"Ah, the shop, it--" Sorin smiled, shifting more easily into the conversation. "It is doing very well. None of the teachers have made it clear that they know, or are against it if they do." It was important to Sorin that he succeed in keeping it a secret. Deceptive methods was not something he was very good at, being too transparent and too caring for his own good.
He nodded his head assertively, certain that at least so far, the existence and still-functioning shop of Barclay's Marvels was a secret from the staff.
Letting Olivia answer for herself this time without first butting in, Sorin scanned the beach hoping to catch sight of Mickey and, when he did, waved with a smile.
